R. Kelly, who has been tied to allegations of running a cult last week, canceled his upcoming New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Dallas tour dates.

This means the disappointment to those NOLA fans hoping to see the R&B star perform at the UNO Lakefront Arena this upcoming Friday, August 11.

The allegations against Kelly began mid-July when parents of the six women involved reported to the police that Kelly is running an abusive cult on properties rented by the singer in the Chicago and Atlanta areas.

The parents also claim that Mr. Kelly controls every aspect of their daughter’s lives: dictating what they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in recorded sexual encounters.

R. Kelly's lawyer, Linda Mansch, told People Magazine that “Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name."

There is no telling if or when the canceled dates for Kelly’s “After Party” tour will be rescheduled. For those who have already purchased their tickets, refunds for the show are at the point of purchase only. Ticketmaster’s internet and phone orders will automatically be canceled and refunded.
