Pythian Market To Host King Cake Pop Up Shop

This carnival season, get your King Cake fix at Pythian Market, New Orleans’ latest urban food collective. From January 6 – March 5, Pythian Market will become a one-stop shop for the Crescent City’s favorite festive treat with offerings from some of New Orleans’ most raved about bakeries.

Diners can choose from Nonna Randazzo’s signature cake featuring a cinnamon dough ring, white frosting, and multicolored sprinkles; Sucré’s stunning shimmery King Cake; or Gracious Bakery’s famed chocolate-filled King Cakes and almond-flavored Queen Cakes. Whole cakes will be available for $20 or $25; or indulge in a slice for $3.50. Also available will be Just Delights Queen Cake ice cream pints for $9.

Additionally, guests can delight in a decadent King Cake Latte and King Cake breakfast sandwich at Edison's Espresso and Tea Bar; King Cake inspired frozen concoction at Pythian’s Bar 1908; and celebratory tacos with carnival slaw at La Cocinita.
