Hip hop legend and Memphis-native Project Pat and a slew of guest performers ushered in a night of Southern rap at the Joy Theater New Orleans on August, 2, 2025.
One of the early figures of gansta rap and hardcore rap, Project Pat's career includes being on the Hypnotize Minds label, releasing platinum-selling albums such as Mista Don't Play: Everythangs Workin', and for collaborating with internationally known acts such as Three 6 Mafia (who's member, Juicy J, is Project Pat's younger brother), Wiz Khalifa, and A$AP Rocky.
With hits such as "Don't Save Her" and "Chickenhead," Project Pat demonstrated why he's been an essential figure of Southern rap for decades.
