With Mardi Gras on the way, New Orleans-born chain PJ's Coffee just released a line of drinks for the season.
The cult favorite King Cake Latte is back--an espresso drink with steamed milk, cinnamon, whipped cream and purple sugar. For customers who are still holding onto their resolutions a few weeks into the new year, there's a lighter version with fat-free milk and no added sugar. The coffee house is also offering a Zulu Coconut Iced Mocha that pairs cold brew with milk, coconut concentrate, and Hershey's chocolate syrup.
"This is one of our favorite times of the year and we're always excited to share at taste of Mardi Gras at PJ's locations around the world," said Leslie Monson, Chief Marketing Officer for PJ's Coffee. "Between the bands, the king cakes, the beads and the floats, we like to get creative and have fun with our flavors for the season - and 2020 is no different."
The drinks are available now through the end of February, not only here in town but outside of New Orleans, so that anyone who has the bad luck to live anywhere else can still partake in the spirit of indulgence that comes with Carnival.
