The Overlook Film Festival, which launched the premiere of this years It Comes At Night, is coming to New Orleans in 2018.

The festival previously took place in the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon. The Timberline was used for some of the exterior shots of The Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick’s classic horror film The Shining. indiewire.com announced that the festival, “a four-day celebration of horror film and immersive experiences,” is moving to the Crescent City. Aside from screenings, there will be virtual reality installations, live performances, and interactive storylines going on late into the night.

In 2018, it will take place from April 19-April 22 around the French Quarter, with its headquarters at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Screenings will take place at Regal Cinemas’ Cinebarre Canal Place 9. 2018 festival passes are now on sale at overlookfilmfest.com.
