Show Ghouls - Show Ghouls

L'Auberge Baton Rouge was so much fun! Darius Rucker had an amazing voice and Better than Ezra put on a great show too with the most creative stage banter I've ever heard. Things are starting to heat up for Halloween here in NOLA, so dust off the costumes and get spooky.

Rev. Spooky LeStrange and her Billion Dollar Babydolls kick off the weekend with The Night Circus Burlesque on Thursday at Siberia for free at 10 p.m. Also, the rollicking folk rock bands My Graveyard Jaw start the show at 7 p.m. and Truckstop Honeymoon performs at 10 p.m. at d.b.a. on Frenchmen Street for $5.

If you haven't been to a haunted house yet, you might want to stop by the House of Shock in Jefferson for a free show with Dead Horse at 8:30 p.m. while Pain Tribe hangs around on hooks. The outside festivities which also includes a bar and food is free. Your favorite Elvis Presley tribute A Clockwork Elvis performs at Bayou Beer Garden at 10 p.m. later that night.

This is Deutches Haus's seasonal festival Oktoberfest's second weekend, but Saturday will be special. Weiner dogs will go neck and neck to win The Dachshund Races beginning at 3 p.m. There will be four races for puppies, adults, seniors, and even disabled dogs. Slow Burn Burlesque's will thrill you during their annual Halloween show Show Ghouls at the Howlin' Wolf at 9 p.m. for $15. Tables are available for the first attendees through the door.

The well-known goth club 1135 Decatur has unfortunately ceased business. But their weekly Sunday night industrial party Attrition has moved to, you guessed it, Siberia. But come out a few hours early to watch the horror movie, and one of my favorites, Necromentia at 8 p.m. The whole night is free and creepy medical attire is encouraged. If that sounds too spooky, Fifi Mahoney's Wig Shop and Trashy Diva will be celebrating both of their anniversaries at One Eyed Jacks at 9 p.m. for $5. The theme is a haunted prom, and costumes are required to enter. So put on your bloody best and get ready to dance all night.
