New Orleans & Company is unveiling the first-ever month-long celebration of music, culture, and technology, New Orleans Music Month, which is scheduled for this October in collaboration with neighborhood organizations, music festivals, and corporate leaders. New Orleans & Company is increasing its commitments to the community's music industry growth in addition to year-round support for the music scene by launching a new music business convention, NOLA MusiCon, on October 24-27, 2023.
NOLA MusicCon will feature educational panels, enlightening interviews with influential figures in the music industry, hands-on interactive brand demonstrations, one-on-one mentoring sessions, live performances by up-and-coming and established local artists, and unmatched networking opportunities. The conference's two main objectives are to educate and enlighten musicians and other industry professionals, as well as to promote New Orleans as a thriving location for the sector.
The annual celebration of music venues, NOLAxNOLA, which is a part of New Orleans Music Month and returning for a third year, will start off Music Month with two weeks of musical performances and other programming from September 28 to October 8, 2023. The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival (October 13-15) and NOLA Funk Fest (October 20-22) are two additional noteworthy occasions. At NOLA Funk Fest, The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a brand-new museum with 120,000 square feet planned to be constructed close to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, will be officially announced to the public.
