Scary movie aficionados can mark Sept. 20-23 on their calendars for the 8th Annual NOLA Horror Film Fest at the Prytania Theater.
The festival will feature a variety of horror programming, from feature films, to shorts, to long-form shorts, to comedy shorts, to sci-fi shorts, to what are only called “WTF” shorts. The movies were selected from 590 national and international submissions. In addition to the 60 films being screened, there will be a panel discussion at 3 p.m. on Sept. 21 on women in horror.
The opening night film is The God Inside My Ear, the story of a young woman who discovers a world of horrifying visions and strange voices after a sudden breakup with her boyfriend. The closing night film is Framed, a movie about psychopaths who torture a young man and his friends by making them part of a sadistic streaming show.
