New Orleans will be hosting the upcoming Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals USA from Saturday, May 21 to Sunday, May 22.
Musicians, dancers, and DJs are invited to come downtown and bust some moves where they'll represent not only the U.S. but also New Orleans. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase the city's storied music and dance traditions. This year's competitors are Nick Fury, Lily Frias, Toyin, Tyler D Creator, and other dancers.
Each day will have a major event. On Saturday, semi-finalists will compete for a spot in a bracket-style competition at the House of Blues where they'll battle face-to-face with world-class dancers. On Sunday, regional finalists and pre-final qualifiers will battle it out as Mikey OFFLINE heats up the competition with chart-topping hits at Generations Hall. Workshops, second-line performances, parties, and other programming events will be held throughout the weekend.
Red Bull Dance Your Style is an international dance competition where famous dancers give an impromptu performance on the streets. Dancing styles range from hip-hop and house to popping and locking. The audience is the ultimate judge in choosing this year's representative for the final.
