Celebrating "Poor Boys"
The annual Oak Street Po-Boy Festival kicked off on Tuesday, October 22 with a block party hosted by Tony Chachere's!
New Orleans food lovers and neighborhood friends were able to pick up wristbands and listen to music under sunny skies. Beyond the pre-fest festivities, patrons were able to indulge in Maple Leaf Bar's block-long po-boy. This ham-and-cheese po-boy was generously dressed, along with some NOLA favorites: Tony Chachere's Bold Creole Seasoning, Tabasco sauce, and Blue Plate mayonnaise to compliment all the delicious flavors a po-boy has to offer!
This year, the festival has partnered with Son of Saint, the local nonprofit committed to empowering fatherless boys. All proceeds of the Po-Boy Festival will support this important cause, as a way to emphasize the festival's commitment to the New Orleans community.
With the live performances of talented local musicians and delicious aroma of po-boys seen on Tuesday, the Oak Street Po-Boy Fest is ready to kick off on Sunday, October 27! Don't miss out on this tasty, unforgettable experience!
