The New Orleans Pelicans open practice will be held in the Smoothie King Center, 1501 Dave Dixon Drive, this Saturday October 1, 2022 at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.). The open practice will start with a pre-party at 12:30 p.m. At the pre-party there will be live-music, concession stands (available during pre-party and the open practice), face-painting, games, and other fun things to do. While tickets are not required for the pre-party, they are for the open practice.
Fans can get four free tickets by registering for them at www.pelicans.com/openpractice. Fans will need to have a smart/mobile phone, as tickets are only accepted digitally at the door. (Printable tickets are not an option.) There will be free parking on a first-come, first-serve status starting at 11:30 a.m. The complimentary parking can be found in the #2 and #5 garages of the Caesars Superdome.
The open practice will give fans a look at the new 2022-2023 New Orleans Pelicans team. The seating will all be general admission, and fans will not only see the new team, but also Pierre the Pelican, their mascot. Pierre was the name chosen by fans through a poll on the team's website. Pierre the Pelican was introduced in 2013, and eventually was redesigned for his current appearance.
Fans can enter the open practice as early as 1 p.m. Visitors can enter through either the Northeast or Northwest grounds, or the North 100 entries.
So bring your game, and help your home team get ready for their first game against the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday October 19, at 7:30 p.m. (This will be an away game.)
