Convention for Caregivers
The 2024 National Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence (PTE) Conference® is set to take place at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from October 30 to November 1.
This conference brings together thousands of nurses from across the globe to exchange proven best practices, showcase contemporary nursing techniques, and honor healthcare institutions that have achieved the prestigious Magnet and Pathway to Excellence designations.
Five hospitals in Louisiana hold the Magnet designation, including Ochsner Medical Center New Orleans, Children's Hospital New Orleans, East Jefferson General Hospital, University Medical Center New Orleans, and Woman's Hospital. Additionally, Rapides Regional Medical Center is Pathway to Excellence-recognized.
Press Conference
To inaugurate this year's conference, the American Nurses Association Enterprise (ANAE) will host a press conference. During this event, Ochsner Medical Center will be acknowledged for its remarkable fifth Magnet designation, a distinction shared by only 1% of Magnet hospitals. ANAE nursing leaders and local partners will highlight the advantages of Magnet and Pathway recognition for nurses and patients, as well as showcase nurses' community work with this year's philanthropic partner, NAMI Southeast Louisiana.
