Domestic Violence is usually an issue that stays within the walls of a household. However, murals across the world are planning to turn the matter inside out and bring awareness to it. Allstate Foundation Purple Purse is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and has launched a collection of six different murals that address the issue. The first two were released in late June in New York City, in partnership with foundation ambassador Serena Williams, and in Houston.

The third one, released on July 23, was debuted in New Orleans on Oak Street. The mural was created by Milagros Collective, a local mural artist group. Like the other murals across the country, the true message isn’t easily noticable on the surface. The true message can only be seen through Instagram’s Moon filter. After seeing the true message of the mural, visitors are encouraged to share it on social media and use the hashtag #SafeWayOut to encourage an open dialogue about the issue.

The mural can be found on the exterior wall of the Yes Yoga building and will be open to the public to visit until October.
