While New Orleanians have been disappointed to hear that many fall festivals have been canceled, the New Orleans Film Festival plans to move forward with a hybrid format from Nov. 5-21.
For the first time in the festival's 32-year history, live events will be spaced out over two weekends to disperse crowds and maintain public safety. All participants at live events will need to either show proof of vaccination, or a recent negative COVID test, and be willing to wear a mask.
Live events will happen Nov. 5-14 at local independent theaters. The virtual portion of the fest will stretch from Nov. 5-21.
