The United States Marine Corps announced that one of its chaplains, Navy Capt. Loften Thornton, was fired March 20 after having been caught on video having sex outside an Algiers Point watering hole.

Marine Reserve spokesman Lt. Col. Ted Wong told USA Today that Thornton, who has been a Navy chaplain since 1992, was fired March 20 for "loss of trust and confidence” but authorities confirmed that Thornton, chaplain for Marine Forces Reserve based at Federal City, was caught on security cameras having sex with a woman near some picnic tables in front of the bar near the street.
