49 years ago, Zella Jackson-Price was told by nurses that her daughter had died after childbirth.
But they were wrong. Jackson-Price's baby, Melanie Diane Gilmore, grew up alive and well in Oregon after being adopted as an infant. The mistake came to light after Gilmore's children started looking for their biological grandparents online.
Gilmore flew to St. Louis to meet her mother for the first time on Thursday.
