Mardi Gras Indian Tribes Prepare For Super Sunday Festival

Super Sunday (March 17) is an annual gathering of Mardi Gras Indian Tribes in celebration of their heritage and culture. Including two stages and over 50 food and craft vendors, the festival will have a grand display of hand-sewn suits, singing, dancing, and chanting.

It will feature the New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Tribes as well as special guests Hot 8 Brass Band, Young Pinstripe Brass Band, the Original Pinettes Brass Band, Lucky LOU, D.J. Captain Charles, and more.

This year the festival will begin at A.L. Davis Park on Washington Ave. and LaSalle St., move onto Simon Bolivar Ave, turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., turn left onto Claiborne Ave., turn left onto Washington Ave., ending back at A.L. Davis Park with cultural activities and live musical performances.
