Who doesn't like the finer things in life? Fancy cars, huge mansions, elegant gowns and immaculate suits; all would go great with you, yes you, in them along with some fine jewelry. And now is a fine time to invest in some.

Lucky for you, and maybe even your partner or some friends, there is a grand opening of a new NOLA jewelry boutique coming up. Go out and tour the newly renovated 8,500 square-foot location at 630 Royal St., presented by M.S. Rau, on November 12 and 13.

The new jewelry space will be the continuation of a century-long tradition of a top-notch collection, which will showcase high-end jewelry and unique gemstones. You'll be sipping champagne and partaking in sweet treats while you gaze in awe in the latest exhibition, Crowning Jewels. The glimmering exhibition will spotlight museum-quality gemstones and eye-opening jewelry creations, taken from a staggering rare Fancy Vivid Yellow Orange Diamond to an eccentric pink and white diamond-encrusted rabbit brooch designed by Raymond Yard, who is, according to Raymond C. Yard Jewelers' Facebook page, "considered one of the great Art Deco jewelers."

Before you go, here's a bit of history for you. M.S. Rau was founded in 1912 and is one of North America's most respected fine art, antiques, and jewelry galleries, according to M.S. Rau's website. Owned by Bill and Rebecca Rau, the business runs across the globe, in which it discovers items all throughout. M.S. Rau has catalyzed museum-quality displays every year for the past decade.

Guided tours of the stunning collection begin at 3 p.m. on November 12 and 13. Visit rauantiques.com for more info.
