Louisiana State University’s own Leonard Fournette and Jamal Adams have officially been named to CBSSports.com first-team preseason All-American squad. Fournette plays running back for the team while Adams plays safety. They were the only two from LSU to be included in the squad.

More notably, Fournette was one of five unanimous selections for the group among twenty-seven different first-time players. The selections represented about sixteen different schools. This team was voted on by an expert college football panel from both CBSSports.com and 247Sports.com.

The SEC officially has the most picks on the first-team at twelve while Alabama follows at five. LSU, Florida, and Tennessee each have two first-team picks. For the second team, Alabama leads with two picks with Tennessee, Texas A&M, Florida and Auburn at one each.

In other related news, Nick Saban was selected by the panel as preseason national Coach of the Year.
