According to a survey conducted by Sokanu, a career test website, Louisiana is in the top ten of states with the happiest workers. For the survey, Sokanu asked people across the United States how satisfied they are in their jobs. Out of the top ten, Louisiana was number nine, moving up 14 spots from last year’s survey.
This comes weeks after the release of WalletHub’s study revealing that Louisiana has the worst economy in the United States. However, the state of the economy doesn’t seem to affect the state’s workers' happiness.
This survey concluded that the top three states with the happiest workers are Hawaii, Alaska, and Wyoming. It also showed the state with the least satisfied workers is Washington D.C.. The survey also listed some of the happiest jobs, including video game producer, music producer, film director, comedian, and neurosurgeon. The list of least satisfying jobs includes stock clerk, cashier, janitor, machine feeder, and telemarketer.
