Whether you're a professional dancer or just like to get up and move your body, The New Orleans Baby Dolls are experts of good energy and dance. The New Orleans Baby Dolls are a group of ladies who are devoted to promoting women's arts and have carried on the century-old tradition of dancing in the streets. Their virtual workshop will be held on the krewe's first annual Culture Day on August 14.
During the dance workshop, teens and adults will be able to empower themselves through their minds, bodies, and spirits. Participants will have an exciting time being able to learn jazz, burlesque, core-strengthening, and body-toning dance moves all from the comfort of their own homes.
One of the most interesting activities includes the "Brain Dance," where creative imagery is used in a cool-down session with Lady Doll-E. This activity will give you the chance to destress, relax, and center yourself. Another fun activity will include the "Dancercize" class hosted by Lady Wildflower, which gives you a creative way to get a full-body workout while dancing and doing aerobics.
After you learn all the new and innovative dance moves taught throughout the workshop, the Zoom event will end with cool-down meditation and a Q&A session. The virtual activities will last from 12:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 14. Patrons will be able to access the Zoom link once they have paid the $3 RSVP fee.
