New Orleans restaurant Flamingo A-Go-Go is planning to make an impact in a big way for the bird that inspired their name. Partnering with the Audubon Nature Institute’s Chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers and Zoo Conservation Outreach Group, the restaurant aims to raise money to benefit the diminishing flamingo populations. More specifically, a portion of the proceeds will be going to the conservation of the Chilean Flamingo, which is listed as in near threat of extinction.

Throughout the day of June 23rd, Flamingo A-Go-Go will donating 15% of total bar sales to the Zoo Conservation Outreach Group to help with conservation efforts. The restaurant will also be holding special festivities in honor of National Pink Flamingo Day. Guests will have the chance to spin for prizes such as free drinks and gift cards along with enjoying the flamingo-themed decor and special fishbowl drinks.
