Launched in the Warehouse District a little over a year ago, Gianna is the Link Restaurant Group's answer to Italian cuisine. Co-owned and helmed by James Beard award-winning chef Rebecca Wilcomb, Gianna (like many restaurants) closed temporarily in March due to the COVID-19 crisis. Since Louisiana's launch into Phase I in mid-May, restaurants all over the city have been reworking their business-as-usual model to incorporate social distancing and safety procedures to allow a measure of dine-in guests and the eateries of the Link Restaurant Group are no exception.
Today, June 3rd,
2020, the final piece of the Link Restaurant Group will be put in
place with the reopening of Gianna. Located on the corner of Magazine
and Girod, the Italian gem will be offering dine-in, takeout and
delivery (through Toasttab) Wednesday through Sunday, 5pm to 9pm. The
safety and health of both staff and guests is the utmost priority at
Gianna and they encourage everyone to read and respect the safety
protocols they have outlined on their website.
Fans of the Warehouse District eatery will be pleased to know that the menu offers the same quality and quantity of dishes they've come to appreciate such as creamy polenta with lamb sausage gravy, Italian chopped salad with salami and artichokes, spaghetti with crab and bottarga, and slow-roasted pork shoulder with fennel and orange. When placing your order, don't forget dessert like a tangy lemon mousse or orange hazelnut torta.
