New
Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation (NOTMC), in collaboration with the Gulf
South LGBT chamber, have introduced the first ever guide to LGBTQ-owned
businesses. This guide will serve as a valuable resource to locals and visitors
alike, further establishing New Orleans as the World's second "Most Welcoming
City" for LGBTQ travelers (GayCities 2017 and 2018). This business guide is the
second that the tourism industry has supported. NOTMC also partnered with
McKenna Publishing last year and earlier to produce a guide to African American
owned restaurants, shops, and other tourism-related businesses in the city. The
guide is available online at and locally at many hotels and restaurants including Arrow Cafe, Mona Lisa, and
Nesbit's Markets.
