Lean Cuisine has a new line that is customizing their cuisine based on DNA. However, the health-conscious food company made quite an interesting name choice for their new line. The new line will be called “Nutria.” Yes, nutria like the pesky Louisiana river rat.
State officials anticipated that the rodent would be wiped out by encouraging restaurants to add the river rat to menus. Hunting nutria is also encouraged, but their population is still going strong.
However, maybe officials can persuade Lean Cuisine to incorporate nutria into their frozen dinners in a new effort of population control.
The brand has not spoken out about the name choice. Bon Appetit!
