A new LCMC Health Urgent Care clinic just recently opened in Uptown New Orleans on February 15. The new clinic, which can be found on 5800 Magazine St., Suite A, is dedicating itself to meeting the healthcare needs of the people of New Orleans. Starting off, the clinic will begin seeing patients by walk-ins with no appointments necessary. This includes minor illnesses and injuries for patients ages 3 months and older, including:
· Ear and eye
infection
· Fever
· Minor cuts that
may need stitches
· Possible broken
bones or simple fractures
· Minor skin
infections
· Severe sore throat
· Sprains and
strains
· Vomiting and
diarrhea
While providing the best possible care for its patients, LCMC Health's new clinic will provide direct access to its health physicians for patients needing follow-up care.

The clinic accepts most major insurance and offers options like online registration and paperless billing. Patients can check in using their mobile devices or computers and receive updates about their scheduled arrival. Patients who are not able to visit in person can also schedule a 'Virtual Visit' at LCMChealthUrgentCare.com.
The new clinic is the seventh LCMC Health Urgent Care clinic in the Greater New Orleans Area. All LCMC Health Urgent Care clinics are open for walk-ins Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
LCMC Health Urgent Care also provides on-site rapid COVID-19, flu, and strep testing. CDC protocols are enforced throughout all LCMC Health facilities. Some protocols that the new clinic and other LCMC Health facilities are enforcing include:
