PepsiCo Chief Executive Indra Nooyi is receiving backlash after claiming women dislike the loud crunch of the Doritos and the sticky-finger aftermath of the snack.
During a podcast for “Freakonomics Radio” Nooyi said, "Women I think would love to do the same but they don't, they don't like to crunch too loudly in public, and you know they don't lick their fingers generously and they don't like to pour the little broken pieces and the flavor into their mouth."
She continued, “For women, you know, low crunch, the full taste profile, not have so much of the flavor stick on the fingers, and how can you put it in your purse, because women love to carry a snack in their purse."
However, some people are not happy with this idea and are taking to social media to speak out against the concept behind Lady Doritos.
What do you think about the concept of Lady Doritos and other female-oriented snacks?
