We all know and love La Thai located on a picturesque corner of Prytania Street, but the restaurant, which has consistently been voted by our readers as the best Thai in town, felt that they needed a facelift after all of these years of great food.
Today, the newly renovated La Thai opens up the to the public. My sparkling rose paired excellently with my spicy Pad Thai, but that cocnut milk soup with caviar really cooled my tongue down when the bubbles got to be too much. The fresh, pretty Tiffany-teal walls made the gold accents and glass chandeliers really pop. I can't wait to return to try out all of the new menu items, but this time, I'm going to get some sake from the sake machine.
