Krewe of Tucks Fundraiser

The Krewe of Tucks aims to give back to the community with two fundraisers on Saturday, October 25.

The Krewe of Tucks, beloved for its unique and joy-filled parades during the Mardi Gras season, is set to host their Umbrella Walk and Gumbo Gras to drive support for local causes in New Orleans. On behalf of the organization's charitable foundation, this year's fundraiser's mission is to show a great time while also spreading awareness. Featuring many organizations dedicated to helping the community, the event is shaping up to make an impact.

Umbrella Walk

The sixth annual Umbrella Walk welcomes the community to a day filled with second lines, gumbo, and activities. The event will also see Carnival dance groups, circus performers, and even appearances from the Krewe of Tucks Royals.

The event will also mark the debut of new kid-friendly activities; the "Little Friars" art activity will allow children to decorate their very own second-line umbrellas, which will also be featured in the Decorated Wagon Parade during the walk. All proceeds of the walk will be reinvested in New Orleans by the Tuck's Foundation.

Gumbo Gras

A part of the walk is Gumbo Gras, allowing the community to get some good gumbo while enjoying the festivities. Amidst the music and celebration, there will be a Gumbo Cook-Off competition with numerous teams providing attendees with gallons of flavorful gumbo to try. The proceeds of the fundraiser will help multiple community initiatives, including partnerships with Magnolia Community Services and the Children's Hospital as well as many others.

For The Cause & Event Details

There can never be too much support that goes into the community, especially in a city like New Orleans, which has so much love to give. The Krewe of Tucks seeks to host these fundraisers to strengthen community initiatives and bring people together. Funds raised through the charitable celebration will support the foundation's mission to provide resources to local charities to improve quality of life across the city.

The event will be held at Audubon Park on October 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. General admission is $25, and the VIP Patron Tent Experience is $75. For more information on tickets, sponsors, and activities, visit the Krewe of Tucks' website.
