Famously known for his traditional New Orleans Storyville-style jazz, the trumpeter has a way of surrounding himself with some of the best musicians in the industry. Riding along on this amazing album, Ruffi ns is accompanied by Shannon Powell (drums), Tom Fisher (clarinet), Steve Pistorius (piano), Lucien Barbarin (trombone), Don Vappie (banjo), and Richard Moten (bass). His deeply rooted passion for the city that created him and the music he learned to love as a youth keeps him in a constant mind of music. When it comes to We Partyin' Traditional Style, Ruffi n refl ects tradition. The album is a captivating gathering of classics and New Orleans jazz standards, combined in a fashion that could only be hosted by Ruffi ns.
