The 2018 concert calendar in New Orleans continues to get even more busy and cluttered.
A co-headlining tour featuring iconic rock bands Def Leppard and Journey will stop at the Smoothie King Center on August 27, 2018. Tickets go on sale to the public on February 3 via Ticketmaster.com. Fan presales for both Def Leppard and Journey are happening and details can be found on their corresponding websites defleppardrockbrigade.com and journeymusic.com, respectively.
Journey is no stranger to the New Orleans market. The band has filled the Smoothie King Center in 2009, 2011, 2015 and, most recently, June 2015. The upcoming date with Def Leppard this August will be Journey's fifth time headlining the arena in nine years, a run unmatched by any other artist of any genre.
Def Leppard mostly recently performed at the Smoothie King Center in August 2016, on a bill with REO Speedwagon and Tesla.
Journey and Def Leppard have previously toured together about 12 years ago. The duo's 58-date summer 2018 tour includes ten stops at baseball stadiums and the bands will alternate the closing slot throughout the tour, which is being promoted by Live Nation Entertainment.
