By: Trisha Romero

If you're a fan of John Mayer's soulful pop sound and didn't make it to the Smoothie King Center last night, you missed out. Mayer showcased his full range of talents in a show that left the crowd enamored with not only his voice, but his sometimes overlooked guitar skills. His production was separated into 4 chapters. Each chapter brought you a different feel, a different feel and different love of his artistic ability.
Mayer detonated the crowd's enjoyment and pleasure with Chapter 1: Full Band, followed by a rawer feel good chapter, Chapter 2: Acoustic. Mayer's showcase of his musicians' various solos throughout the early set list, kept your ears, body, and mind filled with a kick back thrill.
Chapter 3: Trio featured the reunion of The John Mayer Trio that consisted of Mayer, Steve Jordan, and Pino Palladino. The powerful blues energy of these three together kept fans out of their seats as the show moved into Chapter 4: Full Band Reprise. Mayer continued to woo fans with his musical skills. He offered two encores including an unexpected piano solo to end your night with adequate serenity.
