Sideline Pass is the nonprofit started by Jennifer Hale that aims to “educate and empower young women through both seminars and charitable outreaches.” Friday, September 14, the organization held a Scholarship Soiree at the Kurt E. Schon art gallery. Guests came out to eat, drink, take in the beautiful artwork, and help raise money to send one lucky young woman to college. This year’s recipient of the Sideline Pass scholarship is Gloria Thomas.

There was a photo booth, passed hors d’œuvres, speciality cocktails like the “Sideline 75,” and artists live-painting on site. The raffle and silent auction offered great prizes, such as hotel packages and tickets to the Zurich Classic, with money raised going towards future scholarship recipients. Celebrity attendees included Thomas Morstead of the Saints and Win Butler of Arcade Fire. And finally, Veuve Clicquot was there with their bubbly, so guests could toast Thomas’s exciting new college career. Congrats!
