James Hall at The Circle Bar

James Hall returned to New Orleans on Saturday for his post-Thanksgiving Black Saturday show at The Circle Bar. James has recently released a new acoustic album, but this show was by not means a push or remote representation of that material. It was a knock down, drag out, kick you in the gut kind of rock show. If you didn't leave the show exhausted you had to have been drunk, because the energy in the packed main room was off the charts. Going to a Hall show is like going to one of those Midwest tent revivals, a holy experience often times beyond words.
