According to CNN.com, iPads aren’t just for humans anymore. For those tired of Fluffy knocking over the fish bowl, games like “Cat Fishing” imitate the real life things that fascinate cats, often to their owners chagrin.
But as any cat owner knows who has bought a cathouse only to have the cat be more interested in the box, cats are fickle creatures. Most cats are interested in the digital versions of balls of yarn and laser pointers, but others remain unimpressed.
Apps for dogs face their own challenges. iTunes reviewer JackSpratmom wrote about Game for Dogs, “Perhaps I should have thought this one out better. 90 lb Golden Retriever versus iPad screen? I’ll let you figure that one out.”
Nonetheless, brands like FroliCat believe that iPads for cats is the way of the future. And with people setting up GoPros for their dogs, why not?
