The annual pork, beer and live music extravaganza finally made public its 9th edition program! In addition to try out delicious food from more than 100 competing teams, attendees will be able to see, on March 31st and April 1st, recognized musical talents such as Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Railroad Earth, Shovels & Rope, Fruit Bats, Seratones, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, and a lot more. “This year’s bands were carefully curated to offer our audience the best of the best in Americana music,” declared director and co-founder of Hogs for the Cause, Becker Hall.
For the first time this year, the two-day fundraising event, formerly in City Park, will be hosted at UNO Lakefront Arena Fields and will feature a third stage to accommodate even more bands than the previous years.
Hogs for the Cause’s mission is above all else to raise money to help children with pediatric brain cancer and relieve families from the economic burdens they may have to confront. The organization has already assisted over than 400 families since its foundation in 2008.
This year’s event is supported by Children’s Hospital, NOLA Brewing Co., New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp. and Neat Wines among others.
