The Haydel’s Bakery delivery truck was stolen early last Thursday morning around 2:45 am. Ryan Haydel, co-owner of the bakery, declared that the latter will offer free king cake for a year to anybody who can provide useful information about the theft.
The “24-foot International Freight truck, with a crack in the rear door at the bottom on the driver's side and a scratch on the side near the back of the driver's side,” as described on the bakery’s Facebook page, was used mostly for extra storage for king cake.
