Comedian Hannibal Buress, a frequent visitor and lover of the city of New Orleans, announced via Facebook today that he will perform a surprise comedy set tonight at Maple Leaf Bar at 7:30 p.m. Show begins at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $25.
Buress was a writer on Saturday Night Live from 2009 to 2010 and his stand-up comedy has been featured on Comedy Central programs such as Live at Gotham and John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show. He has also performed on several late night talkshows such as The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Conan. Most recently, Buress has been starring in multiple seasons of Broad City on Comedy Central and writing and starring in his new standup special Comedy Camisado which premiered on Netflix this past February.
Buress is notoriously fond of New Orleans and has expressed those feelings through several comedy bits in the past.
