In response to the coronavirus crisis that has left the
United States and, in particular, New Orleans in shambles, GoodWood NOLA is
committed to helping the community. The company, which normally specializes in
design, architectural fabrication, and custom-made furniture, has switched
their focus to making masks in this time of need.
"Tomorrow will mark 1 month since we pivoted from furniture to face shields," they announced in an Instagram post yesterday afternoon. Thus far, they've been able to produce over 30,000 units, "all with local labor and American materials." The local business hopes to serve as a resource for the greater New Orleans area during this unprecedented period. Moving forward, GoodWood plans to process 30,000 units per week, thanks to advanced manufacturing. GoodWood concluded the post's caption with a promise: "We got your back, New Orleans."
