The New Orleans annual Essence Festival is filled with not only good music, food, activities and more, but is playing host to informative summits.
Three of the entertainment industry’s top hair stylists gathered this weekend to give advice about hair style trends, growing your clients’ natural hair, expanding your brand with social media and more. Who wouldn’t want that knowledge?
Celebrity Hairy Stylists Anthony Cuts , Tokyo Stylez and Ashanti Lation will provide information the entire weekend; the closeout day being is on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The event will be held at 2203 Saint Charles Ave in New Orleans’ historic Garden District, consisting of three full-day sessions taught by one of these elite and accomplished stylists.
The Slay Sessions will kickoff on Friday, July 1st with “Instafamous” hair designer, Anthony Cuts. Anthony is a charismatic coiffeur with a global fan base and client list attributed to his impressive command of hair cutting and styling skills, not to mention his uncanny ability to make women look and feel beautiful.
He’ll be followed on Saturday, July 2nd by master stylist and salon owner, Ashanti Lation. Considered a healthy hair guru, Ashanti’s years of experience and development of her signature Sew2Grow™ method and Silk Press technique have created a cult-like following of people fascinated by her ability to grow long, healthy hair for her clients.
Rounding out the weekend will be hairstylist to the stars, Tokyo Stylez, a social media superstar whose skills have garnered him respect and adoration across multiple industries. Tokyo’s celebrity client list includes Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, the Kardashians, K. Michelle and Teyana Taylor, just to name a few.
