The Third Annual GatesFest Music & Art Festival
On Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on the grounds of Congregation Gates of Prayer at 4000 W. Esplanade Avenue S. in Metairie, Louisiana, the third annual GatesFest Music & Arts Festival will return and be even greater than before. Doors open at noon.
The Jewish Community Day School and J-FLEx are hosting the Family Fest Area, which will offer entertaining activities for the whole family, including food, arts & crafts, kid-friendly music, magicians, storytellers, and much more. The most renowned artists in Louisiana will be back with a variety of works for sale, from fine art to kid's artwork.
Congregation Gates of Prayer, Wells Fargo, and Humana are the sponsors of GatesFest 2023, which will include food from top area eateries, an artist village with over 20 local and regional artists, a family-friendly festival area, and a fantastic line-up of music, including: Marc Broussard, Cowboy Mouth, the Preservation Hall All-Stars, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Funk Monkey with Arsene DeLay, and Cap Carter (an Australian singer-songwriter making his American debut) are just a few of the performers.
Along with musical acts, GatesFest will serve food and beverages from local favorites like Wolf's Burgers, Creole Tomateaux, and more, as well as roaming brass bands and second lines in between stage performances.
The Krewe of GatesFest and Composer VIP packages, which are new for this year, will offer visitors private 10x10 tents in excellent viewing locations with personal coolers filled with snacks and beverages, upgraded restrooms, priority parking, and a fully catered VIP Party with a close-up performance from one of the featured GatesFest artists the night before.
