French Film Festival 2026
The New Orleans Film Society will present the 29th French Film Festival at the Prytania Theatres Uptown from March 19-24.
The French-language films will come from a variety of locales, including the short Who Will Remember Us?, which was shot in Louisiana. The opening night film, Colors of Time, is a comedy that takes viewers on a trip back to 1895 Paris's Belle Epoque period. The Piano Accident tells the story of a social media sensation who finds herself being blackmailed while recovering from an injury she sustained during an internet stunt.
Other events associated with the film festival include a patron party at the Columns Hotel and REEL Futures Day, a workforce development initiative at Loyola University aimed at connecting college students with career pathways in Louisiana's film and TV industry.
