Portland-based hospitality group Ace Hotel announced the release of gift cards travelers can purchase for future stays. One hundred percent of the proceeds up to $100,000 will go directly to the Ace Family Fund which was created to support Ace Hotel employees furloughed due to the pandemic. After reaching the goal amount, 25% will continue to benefit the fund. In partnership with FutureKey, Ace Hotel offers interested travelers gift cards for their individual properties that can be purchased online at acehotel.com/giftcard with a discount for up to 20% and with no expiration or blackout dates.
"While the future of travel will
inevitably change, we have hope that people's capacity for altruism
and kindness will stay connected to their love for adventure and
self-care," says Kelly Sawdon, Chief of Brand at Ace Hotel Group
and Atelier Ace. "We're happy to offer a way for future travelers
to plan for brighter days while simultaneously supporting others."
Renovated several years ago from the
Art Deco building on the corner of Carondolet and Lafayette Street,
the Ace Hotel New Orleans was the Portland-based hospitality group's
first foray into the Deep South. The Warehouse District hotel
features 234 rooms, rooftop pool, lush courtyard, restaurant, music
venue, and event spaces. Kelly Sawdon, Ace Hotel Group's chief brand
officer, explained the vision behind the hotel's design which always
emphasized discovery and unexpected pleasures. "We set out to make
a warm, welcoming, relaxed space that was conducive to surprise— a
catalyst for genuine, humorous, human moments to happen." Sawdon
says
Until hotels can reopen safely, the
gift cards not only hold the exciting promise of future travel, they
also provide much needed financial support to the individuals who
make Ace Hotel the exemplary hospitality company it is today. The
gift cards purchased through FutureKey can be put towards a
reservation at any participating Ace Hotel cities, and even can go to
incidentals like room service, mini-bars used during your stay or
on-site retail purchases, restaurants and bars. Participating
properties include Ace Hotel New York, Ace Hotel Chicago, Ace Hotel &
Swim Club in Palm Springs, Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, Ace Hotel
New Orleans, Ace Hotel Portland and Ace Hotel Seattle.
