Financial Help for Local Musicians
On Wednesday, November 8, the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center will be holding a Financial Management for Musicians workshop to help musicians take control of their own finances. This event is perfect for all musicians, whether they are a seasoned professional or just starting out. The workshop will provide helpful tips and tricks for managing money, making financial decisions, and planning for a fulfilling future in the music industry.
Check-in for attendees will take place at 5:30 p.m., with the event discussion running from 6-7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Guests should reserve a spot on Eventbrite to secure their place.
The workshop will feature guest speakers such as Julia Holt, Calli Weirick, Amanda Saldana, and Jamison Ross—all accomplished executives and musicians within the industry. Their expertise will provide insight on retirement planning, life insurance, personal savings, as well as how to budget for upcoming projects.
Attendees will also be able to learn about setting up partnerships or LLCs and accessing financial plans through a business entity. By the end of this workshop, musicians will know how to take their music careers to the next level.
