The Evil Deadite Crawl with the Krewe of the Living Dead was a (deadly) blast! I’d like to thank the Pair-a-Dice Tumblers Brass Band for sweetly playing us down the street, and the delicious new food truck Skillet for serving up some bloody good grub. Easter is over and French Quarter Fest is coming up, but we’re not resting in the downtime.

Do you like snarky sitcoms? Do you like New Orleans? Then come on out to the Hi Ho Lounge on Wednesday night to witness the premiere of a new web-based series called Easy. Two young New Yorkers move to NOLA, drink a little too much, and encounter people that they didn’t believe existed outside of exaggerated stories. Live music by The Jazzholes and Maggie Koerner begins at 8 p.m. and the show screening will be at 10 p.m. The entire show is free.

In order to raise awareness of his club’s predicament, Jimmy Anselmo is throwing a three day, band-studded concert series that he hopes will help to get the public involved in reopening his once legendary club Jimmy’s, which has been delayed because of zoning issues. All of the shows will take place at the proposed bar for the club located at 8200 Willow Street and they begin at 6 p.m. Thursday night is will be headlined by comedian, actor, and musician Harry Shearer with the Bucktown Allstars, John Autin, and more. Friday night is Cyril and Gaynielle Neville with Christian Serpas & Ghost Town, Sexdog, Paul Sanchez and others. And at the finale on Saturday, the Local Skank will share the stage with Stephie and the Whitesox, The Call Girls, and more. If you love live music, please help bring back Jimmy’s.

The Freret Street Boxing Gym’s Friday Night Fights “Nurses and Nuts” takes place at the Blind Pelican on St. Charles Avenue at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the gate or $15 in advance. Hospital employees with their IDs and anybody wearing a naughty nurse costume can enter for free. Not only are there multiple boxing rounds, but musical entertainment, burlesque, and more.

If you didn’t get to celebrate the Polish heritage party Dyngus Day at Siberia on Monday with Debauche, you can catch them at Circle Bar with Salt Wives on Saturday at 10 p.m. Or if you prefer something more beachy than mountainous, The Unnaturals take over Le Bon Temps Roule at 10 p.m.
