Experience the Greatest Generation at BB’s Stage Door Canteen’s 2021 Lineup

BB's Stage Door Canteen, located on 945 Magazine St. at The National WWII Museum, is back with excellent lineup for 2021. Whether it be theatrical performances, live music performances, or lectures, the canteen has prided itself with presenting unique entertainment showcasing the spirit of the 1940's in a wartime themed concert venue setting. This 2021 lineup will be updated online as new shows are scheduled:


Wartime Piano Happy Hour

May 15, June 6, and June 20, 2021

4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.


After a day at the museum, you can join the canteen for a live performance of wartime piano tunes such as "Sentimental Journey" and "I'll Be Seeing You." Admission is $10 and you can also purchase drinks at the American Sector Restaurant's bar.


Hedy! The Life & Inventions of Hedy Lamarr

This event brings all attendees into conversation with the playwright-actress Heather Massie, who will explore the stardom and achievements of movie star and scientist Hady Lamarr. The Viennese-born actress, who was once called "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World," used her knowledge of munitions she gained while married to Austrian arms dealer Friedrich "Fritz" Mandl in order to support the US Navy during WWII by helping to develop the Secret Communication System, an invention that made torpedoes more accurate. Her invention is still used today for cell phones, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. General admission is $40 and $37 for members.


Nostrovia! The Rise of Vodka

6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.


This discussion on the rise in popularity of vodka across the globe will be hosted by cocktail historian Elizabeth Pearce and will focused on vodka's journey from the Eastern Front to becoming a mainstream drink in the West. General admission is $50 and will include three tasting samples.


World's Greatest Johnny Cash Experience: Terry Lee Goffee

September 17 - 26, 2021

Fridays & Saturdays at 7 p.m./Sundays at 2 p.m.


This tribute show stars musician Terry Lee Goffee performing The Man in Black's classic songs such as "Sunday Morning Coming Down," "A Boy Named Sue," "I Walk The Line," "Ring of Fire," "Hurt," "Folsom Prison Blues," and much more.
