The Krewe of Endymion just announced their latest celebrity performers for their 2017 parade. From the list, KISS, Flo Rida, and KC and the Sunshine Band will lend their vocal talents to the Endymion Extravaganza. Fans of rock, hip hop, and disco can catch the performers at the annual event in 2017.
The announcement for the celebrities came on Wednesday, September 7 at Mardi Gras World, where many of the Mardi Gras floats are designed. Krewe of Endymion founder Ed Munzi described the process, adding that all Endymion performers are invited to ride in the Krewe of Endymion parade as well. While some accepted the invitation, others decline the offer for fear of ruining their voices in the New Orleans weather.
Regardless of the parade, KISS, Flo Rida, and KC and the Sunshine Band will feature at the 2017 Endymion Extravaganza after the Mid-City parade on February 25. This will be the Saturday before Mardi Gras on February 28. Previous performers included Steven Tyler and Pitbull who performed at the 2016 Endymion Extravaganza at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and the tradition continues since its introduction in 1974.
