Deborah Zoe Laufer’s provocative 2015 play, Informed Consent, will close Loyola University’s 2017-2018 theatrical season. James Will McBride (The War Boys, Alexis: I Am) directs, for 6 exclusive performances in April. A New York Times critic’s pick, Informed Consent is the story of an ambitious geneticist who must race to solve scientific mysteries which could save both an ancient people and even her own family. The play poses captivating questions of science vs. belief systems and the relationship of ethics in genetic research.
Informed Consent will run in the Lower Depths Theatre at Loyola University, 6363 St. Charles Ave. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 13, 14, 19. 20, and 21, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 15.
