According to NFL.com, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Saints' quarterback Drew Brees suffered a shoulder injury this past Sunday against the Buccanneers. Brees took a hit to the shoulder in the second quarter, inflicting a notable impairment on his throws the remainder of the game. NFL.com goes on to report that the Saints believe Brees could be out for several games.
If Brees takes the bench, backup quarterback Luke McCown will take the field against Carolina next weekend.
