You voted, and New Orleans could get more than just pizza from Domino’s.
The campaign was announced in June and promises to fill potholes in American cities so that pizzas will reach doorsteps undamaged.
According to the “Paving for Pizza” website, a few cities have already been serviced. In Burbank, CA, five potholes have been repaired. In Bartonville, TX, eight have been filled. Milford, DE, sits pretty with 40 repaired, and Athens, GA, boasts a whopping 150 fixed.
Well, as of last week, New Orleans can expect the same treatment once the City Council agrees to accept a “Paving for Pizza” grant.
The City Council will vote on the $5,000 grant from Domino’s that would go straight into the Department of Public Works on Tuesday, August 9.
We might expect that figure to rise after Domino’s representatives bounce through our city's streets on their taxi trip from the airport to City Hall.
